Is it possible to create a rarity index based upon the year of a coin. Some coins within a common type index are rare because they have a low mintage.

It's not worth it, since most people, I think, collect by type. Anyway the rarity index is pure rubbish, so it would even be worse by year. Look at the mintages instead and not the coins of the couple of thousand collectors using numista.....
