New Issuer: Gotland? [solved]

Hello! :`

Gotland is an island of Sweden, and in the medieval times, they issued some of their own coins (which were also said to be popular in the older times of Livonia).

Right now, there are only three coins from Gotland listed on Numista. I was planning to add more, but all three of those coins are listed under Denmark. That does make some sense, seeing as how those coins were issued when Gotland was under Danish rule, but this place also minted coins when they were under Sweden (and when they were under the Kalmar Union). So rather placing Gotland's coins in different sections of the catalogue, creating a new issuer for this place would keep them all together. 0:)

Thank you for reading!

(And here are a few coins from Gotland: https://www.numisbids.com/n.php?p=sale&sid=1881&cid=49533.)
In the link you sent it seems to me that this should be city coinage of Visby? Or rather Gotland's as a whole?

Gotland is the issuer; Visby is their mint. :)

Well, Visby is their main mint. They also had some later coins minted in Copenhagen.
Gotland got their own coins minted in Denmark? B. Also I found this on wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spillings_Hoard

Most awesome is Khazar coin!

Yup. :` As far as I have been able to find, the Copenhagen mint was only for this coin, which is one of the types already listed on Numista (although that coin actually appears to be listed twice--a different page for a slightly different inscription).

And yes! There have been so many coin hoards found in Gotland, with the Spillings Hoard being the largest. According to this link, "All in all, more than 170,000 coins have been found either in hoards or as loose finds in Gotland."
We could not decide where we should place this, could you find any source on Gotland history? Had it some sort of autonomy?

According to Wikipedia's "Historical affiliations" on the Gotland page, Gotland started as a vassal of Sweden (from 1285–1361), and ended with belonging to Sweden since 1679 (excluding the month Russia took it over).

Although, this link states: "Since about 900 Gotland had been a part of Sweden, paying an annual tax for protection but otherwise remaining an independent peasant community with its own language and culture [...]" (then it mentions Denmark taking them over in 1361).

I would think to list Gotland under Sweden. Even though they issued coins while they were under Sweden, Denmark, and the Kalmar Union, it looks like the island has been part of Sweden the longest, and the island is currently a Swedish territory.
Ok, that makes sense. You can harbor those coins in some of your own countries if you want to add them. Wait with requesting movement of the existing ones though.

Alrighty. I will store any ones I add under Ösel-Wiek because... well, it was mostly an island. And Gotland is an island. So... yea. :D

And here is their first coin (on Numista):
