Ardite Carlos III Pretender, need confirmation [solved]

4 posts
Hello again, i have a new question for you.

I was adding coins in my profile and when i took this one i needed a few hours to finally find it. I bought it as "2 Dineros 1709" no more info was given to my by the seller. With that info i didn´t found it so i started looking all the coins from Spain since 1600.

As far as i can see it´s more or less the same coin as in the photo of the Ardite Carlos III Pretender coin here (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces74311.html), casually same year and same shield (in my case in worst condition) in one of the faces of the coin.

In the back of the coin, i have a face. In the photo in the link above its not easy to see a face but the letters "C" and "B" are identifiable in both coins .

Most of the ornaments are ok too in both coins, both faces.

On the other hand, Diameter is passable (i have 17.03 and 17.20mm measurements instead of 17mm) Weight not so passable? maybe? (i have 1gr. instead of 1.26gr.)

So, in sumary, Do i have a real Ardite Carlos III Pretender? Is Fhilip´s IV face in the back of the coin?

Hope you can help me, thanks in advance!!

Hello,
Your identification is correct !

I'm not sure about the host coin, but I had say Felipe IV too.

I guess it needs to be the coin of the link i posted.

AS i searched in spanish webs, Letter "B" in one of the faces is the mint of "Barcelona" and the shield on the other face is from Barcelona... one thing less.

The only question left is the king´s face there, who is him, but if nobody knows, it´s ok and i will solve the post
