Do I smell the birth of a "ships on banknotes" thread? :8D

A few nice ships on the right of the back of this 1000F "Commerce et Industrie" note.

A battleship on the right of this wartime Dutch East Indies 100 Gulden note.

And two nice harbour scenes on this Trinidadian 1 Dollar note from 1939.

A nice big galleon on this South African note.

Another one on the seal here to the left.

Keeping with the British Empire trend here's the back of my Hong Kong 5 dollars, which has another junk.

And finally a dhow from Malaya.

Some ship notes from me!

Sorry if I posted too many. z) I just got so surprised that I actually had banknotes with boats at all. I didn't think I had any, except from the Maldives.

Not at all @ngdawa, here's some more from me:

There's a steam liner, much like the Titanic on the right of this Series 1914 US $20 note as well as a small tugboat next to it.

On this Free French WWII note from New Caledonia, a ship can be seen on the left.

And another nice ship on this Portuguese Mozambique note.

Absolutely I vote for the thread; and I'll play too.

Nice. :`

This is the 2nd last ship 1 dollar banknote.
The last one has the same design but different signature. Suggest you to sleeve it to prevent further foxing.

Thanks for the info, yes you are correct, I keep all my notes in acid-free pages. They only come out for the occasional photograph :D
