So quick! I thought it might with the Azerbaijin guesses and all. But I was referring to the lively Turkish note Cass responded with. I just got a crisp unc one of those in the mail. I was surprised to see it also had a maiden's tower.
Are we allowed to say where we get our notes?

You should check out the Ebay store noteshobby. After combining my purchases it's only 5 dollar shipping from Thailand to the USA.

The legend around the Kız Kulesi (or Qız qalası in Azeri, another Turkic language) is that a prophecy foretold of a Sultan's daughter dying on her 18th birthday, so he built a special protective tower on an island to lock her up in- but on her 18th birthday, a poisonous snake snuck into a basket of fruits being delivered to her, and you can probably guess how the rest of this story goes.
I really like these threads, perhaps we could start a banknotes guessing game here?

I like them also. They force a close look at vignettes.

Ok, I will start the banknote guessing game.
It was 1951 and Peter Paniloo said he remembered that they ate well that day. He is the young man second from the left.
Hint is a Canadian banknote.

Maybe create a new thread for your puzzle? It will boost our number of bank threads and it could interest new readers with it's new thread title. I like the idea of puzzles.
