Legacy Currency Grading

Good bye PCGS Currency, at least for now. For many years now Collectors Universe has been licensing the PCGS Currency name outside of their company. Well that arrangement ended this month, and currently there is no currency grading by PCGS (this may change in a few months).

Meanwhile, Jason W. Bradford and "his team of experts" have launched Legacy Currency Grading. They haven't started accepting submissions yet, but my guess is, it will happen soon. I wonder how well their new brand will be accepted by the banknote collecting community?

Probably not very well if you ask me.

When it comes to coins most people won't really consider any TPGs other than PCGS and NGC (with the exceptions of locally prominent TPGs like WAC in France for example), so I wouldn't expect a new banknote grader to be accepted soon. :(

Pretty much depends upon some of the "big boys" in the business, i.e., Heritage, Stacks, etc. If they accept
the new Legacy graded products then should be okay; if not -- tears and weeping will abound, maybe even wailing and gnashing of teeth (LOL). As for eBay, they don't even follow their own rules so who cares?
Did see where PMG has initiated a "crossover" service (for a fee, of course).
