For value:I’d does depend on what the coin is, and what grade the coin gets. Plus you have to factor the grading cost if your were to sell it after grading
for how: go online to the grading company’s website for directions on how to send in and the form or your local coin shop can send it in for you if they have a membership. Cost can vary by coin and service you choose.

See www.pcgs.com or www.ngccoin.com for submission details. If you only have one coin to submit, I suggest you use the sites to find an authorized dealer in your area.
The value of the coin will only go up, if it's a coin where authenticity is an issue, or if it's a high grade uncirculated coin.

I’d have to disagree. Not all coins value only go up. If the grade was lower than expected then there is a place where money can be lost. Or the market just doesn’t have the demand for a certain coin.
