I was lucky enough to pick up the majority of these brass coins.

I am looking for a purpose built casetray to put them in with the title in the lid or top.

there are some on eBay but only with coins in..does anyone know where I can get one ..help

I had a few of these coins, but then managed to buy the complete set in the original box. Then swapped the original loss coins.
Sometimes my local coin shop has the odd box of two, so next time I go into town, I will ask him.

Thanks very much ... I have eighteen of the 24 .....

A coin box with 5 coins is on eBay at seventeen pounds ...I am sure it will go fir a lot more.

Can I be cheeky and ask how much you bought whole set for ..... in case I’m ever down on my luck and have to sell.

I assume the other Marshall sets (round) are the same planes but in just different metal content and size.

The set of dolphins and whales from there look good too. I am going to post a general comment on forum which you probably have views on .

Regards

It was on eBay but did not sell, so contacted him to see if he was going to re-list.
We communicated for a short time, and he asked me to make an offer.
I offered him £170.00 including postage.
He said he would re-list it at a specific time on Buy it Now.
I check his profile and as soon as it came up, I bought it.
I thought it was a bargain

Charles,
Well done. Bargain I think.
Now you need to fill it up. Might be less difficult than the box.
Which coins do you still need. I do not have any, but can ask my coin shop owner.

Do you mean it came without the loose tray? I have coins in the bottom, which is integrated into the box, then the loose tray for the other half of the collection.

I went to the coin shop today, and he had only black inserts, so did not get one.
My box measures 245mm x 225mm, internally.
Like you, my box has one tray, but room for another. As there are only 24 coins in the collection, I guess the box was issued with the integrated tray for 12 coins, and the loose tray for the other 12 coins.
By all accounts, these boxes from Westminster Mint are pretty standard, so another tray should be easy to get

I’m looking on eBay but I agree I think it is a Westminster mint case so I might go there ...bet it’s not cheap though..I don’t want to pay more fir the tray than the box and 5 coins.

Faith restored... I contacted local coin shop (Andrews Coins) and asked if he could get tray for me. He popped round and gave me one for nothing.

Now you need to fill it. That might be a bit harder than the tray, although the coins might cost you money.

Just noticed that KM#59, P-51 Mustang, is not included in the Numista website.
Just added it

23 coins are on Numista. It is only the P-51 Mustang that is missing.
In my Krause catalogue, it is shown twice with two different KM#'s. I added it using the first of the listed KM#.

By Jove he’s got it ...

Mustang is the other missing one !

I presume you know there is a series of more modern jets in 1995 I think .

Yes, I know of this set as listed in Krause. 16 according to Krause, but only 3 listed on Numista.
I have never seen any of them.
I would like the earlier set in the $50.00 series. That would be very nice
I have the complete set of $50.00 coins for the 'The Milestones of Space Exploration '. Trouble is, there are 26 coins, but only spaces for 24 in the special box.

I know you all were talking about marshall Islands coins and one of the sellers on ebay that I recently bought from had some of the $50 aircraft coins if anyone is interested in them.

It is just down to availability. None are available so swapping is impossible.
It is very rare for me to see any of these coins now. Even my local coin shop do not have them, and he said it is a long time since he has had any of them.

Hi Coinman,

i know now you like your plane coins ... I have just bought 2 from Hutt Bay which I assume are Australian coins.

however you may not like them because they’re not from a genuine country? Tokens

Hello,
I find this discussion a good opportunity to ask a question to the Experts regarding a coin from Marshall Islands. I mean this 50 dollars coin:

https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces166095.html

In the Numista catalogue it is described as a circulating commemorative coin, unlike all similar ones. Is this information correct?

Thank you, best regards, Olaf

This description is definitely incorrect.
I have never known a coin made of .999 silver, being a circulation coin.
This needs to be changed.
I will see if I can change it. It will still need validating after I make request.

Information request added, but 'a non circulation commemorative ' does not appear in the option list, so requested it be changed to 'non circulation '
Watch this space for an update.
I added a coin from the Marshall Islands over a week ago, and still not validated, so do not hold your breath for a quick answer.

I have only 2 'coins' from Hutt River. Hutt River is classed as a Micronation.
50 cents X#4
5 Dollars X#217

If your items are from Hutt Bay, I have none, or even heard of it

I will post actual coins photos when I get them , but I have included some samples of similar kind ...,

mine is Apostle Andrew

Hutt Province is right not bay ..mine are different battle scenes but they are from this series of commemorative tokens. Hutt Province is as you say a micro nation with a fascinating history if you google it.

ps I managed to sell my 5 aeroplane coins fir 27 pounds which paid fir the case and a profit besides. 😀
