An official request can only be altered by admin level rights but you could edit the first post uncheck the request type and then have access to the solved button again. (But I am not 100% sure)

Your request on the 'Numista coin catalog' forum >
https://en.numista.com/forum/topic99269.html
I have changed to Done (there is no Solved there), as I had that as one
of the choices open to me.
Other parts of the forum yes do have a Solved button, but not all.
In this part (Numista website) of the forum here I have no choices, as it is just
saying Opened with no choices for me.
Thanks Zac,

so to be precise the user Lambda can't do it?

It has to somebody on a higher level?

Thanks in advance
Ole

I think yes the user can not do it - only Solved ones on some forum sections.
So that Opened status that I can not do, I guess only Xavier can do,
as it has to do with website requests.

OK, so if anywhere in the hierarchy of forums, I ask a question and get an answer which for me is OK (solving MY question), I can NOT say that it's DONE, SOLVED or whatever to my satisfaction, is that what I should anderstand?

A bit strange in my humble opinion, because after the solution to my question I'm not considered worthy to give my opinion any more:x

Maybe this should be cleared up for the generations to come?8)

If you wanted to just ask a question why did you tick suggesting an idea to improve Numista?
Those are addressed to Xavier because only he can improve the Numista site or fix bugs.
Also have you even tried what I suggested? Because it works.

Honestly I tried, but it didn't work.

Do you really mean I should NOT EVER post anything in the Numista Website Section? I don't understand, since it's a question concerning the functioning of Numista throughout all the differenr forum sections?

Hello Ole,

Questions can be marked as solved by the initial author of the topic.

But the status of requests to do something can be changed only by the people to who the request is intended and by moderators.
By "requests to do something", I mean all the forum topics where the author ticked a checkbox, for example suggestions for the website, bug reports or requests to change a coin page.
For those requests, you are welcome to post a message when your request is solved, and it's the responsibility of the moderators, catalogue admins, etc. (depending on the type of request) to update the status. The requests may actually have various status, including "solved", but also "started", "rejected", etc.

For the current topic, which is a question about how to use Numista, I would suggest not to have ticked the checkbox for suggestions to improve Numista (unless I misunderstood your question). You can actually still untick it by editing your initial message above. If it was not a suggestion to improve Numista, you would see a button to mark the topic as solved when you feel the question is solved.
