Description

The Hanover coin fair

Tradition has a name: collectors and dealers no longer need to check their calendars, the date for the Hanover coin fair is already well established. Also this year the ever growing collector community is looking forward to this event. And the line-up is really impressive: over 150 exhibitors from Germany and abroad are waiting for the interested visitors, including 3,000 collectors who come by personal invitation.

The many stands in the spacious, light-flooded Eilenriedehalle invite you to browse. On 3000 square meters of exhibition space there is everything a collector's heart could wish for: Coins from all over the world, from antiquity to the present, medals from all countries with all subjects, investment coins and banknotes, stocks, premonetary forms of money, numismatic literature, medals and badges of honor, bonds and shares, numismatic accessories and much more. This year, too, commemorative medals will be minted.

As always, all exhibitors will put their experience and expertise at the service of the collector. Numismatic associations, which provide information about their work, are also a permanent fixture on the Hanover coin exchange. It is this special atmosphere, the good customer service, the high security standard and the excellent organization that have made Hanover a favorite exchange for traders and collectors.

What started as a "pre-Christmas coin exchange day" on a small scale in 1965 has developed into a perennial favorite that attracts more and more visitors with its two events on May 1st and the first weekend in Advent. Five months ago, this traditional coin exchange celebrated its 100th anniversary. Regular guests had long remembered this date and poured into the Eilenriedehalle in large numbers to meet “their” dealers again, but there were also many guests who spontaneously decided to visit this German coin exchange for the first time. More than 5000 visitors experienced it a great event for which organizer Christoph Walczak had come up with something special, such as the drawing of a festival medal created by the famous artist Peter Götz Güttler, and visitors were able to create their own commemorative medal on a balancer - an offer that excited was accepted.
