Porto
Gabinete de Numismática consists of one of the most important collections of Numismatics of Portugal. It had its origin in the acquisition of the assets of the Allen Museum and consists of coins, banknotes, valleys, monetary tokens, medals etc.
In an interesting and touristic spot, you may find out this former Palace.
Free entrance - turn right - and if you visit Porto, I totally recommend.
Lack of information on coins and notably a old-fashion stuck exhibition\museum of ancient coins, but anyway worths a visit.
Very nice exhibition of Portuguese coins starting with Antiquity and finisihing with the Euro. Could do with a little more individual cataloging, but overall a good place to spend an hour looking at coins.
