The Denver Mint tour should be one of the local attractions you visit that is not the be-all end all of your day.

I took both my kids earlier in the day, before going to Denver Aquarium and out to lunch.
Please get there early. The doors open at 7am but if you have 150 people in front of you, you won't get in.

It is the history of money, the tour guides are very friendly and helpful, and the gift shop is great. The tours are relatively short, however I looked at it as an opportunity to get some education and history as part of a fun day with my kids.

There is no parking lot, but there is affordable parking near by.

My wife has always wanted to visit the mint but unfortunately the first time we were in denver the tour was closed because of COVID. The second time we were able to make it there. The tour was amazing and very informative. We learned so much. The guide was very friendly and informative.
I would definitely recommend going but get to the ticket booth early the tour books quickly. We got there a 6 am for our tickets.

Great experience. Free tour with penny souvenir. The tour guide made the experience very memorable. Would recommend if traveling thru Denver or visiting. Must get tickets day of in person at 7am as tickets sell out very quickly. Great for family's with children or adults alike. See over 2 million dollars in gold bars.(will surprise you)
Great history experience as well.

Quick tour of the mint. No pictures can be taken inside. Get there as soon as the ticket both opens by the gift shop and get your tickets for the time you want. They sell out SUPER FAST!

We did a tour on Monday, October 2. Based on everything I read I thought parking would be difficult and getting tickets would be difficult. Much to my surprise it was a breeze. I’m guessing peak season is completely over by this point. We did the 9:30 tour and people were still walking up and getting tickets at 8:45. There was a ton of metered parking 1-2 streets away on 13th street and Tremont Pl. If you want a hotel in walking distance The Slate was wonderful.

The tour is a little less than an hour. If you have the chance to take it, I recommend doing it. Very educational and eye opening.
