Recently visited Prema Bros and purchased jewelry, Kandyan antiques, and more. Prema Brothers is my favoriate antique store in Sri Lanka, by far. The owner and his son are exceptionally knowledgeable, prices are extremely reasonable (and I've visited plenty for comparison). I look forward to visiting the Kandy area next time specifically so that I can stop by this store!

I visited Prema Brothers this evening. Very good place. I was looking for Sri Lanka coins from different periods and found what I was looking at. Great experience and good coins for reasonable prices. Me and my family were attended by the son and the father. Very kind people. Hope to keep in touch.

This is to warn every foreign and local visitor to this shop Prema Brothers Antique shop in Peradeniya Kandy Old road (infront of HNBank) cheated their customers, daylight robbery is more suitable word. Be extremely aware of this shop, and it’s famous for fake antique place in Kandy.

I've been to Prema Brothers twice over the years, and plan to go again on our next trip to Sri Lanka. What I love is how authentic and original everything in store is, unlike Oak Ray woodcarving nearby which is made for tourists and pricey. On my first trip I bought a gorgeous large 400 year old Chinese porcelain bowl that I treasure! This last trip I purchased an Anka (an elephant goad) for a friend. The next time I go I plan on looking for old masks and more blue and white ceramics... but who knows what I'll find!

I have been working at Prema bothers for 8 years and I can definitely say that this is a wonderful place to work. Pretty much all customers leave happily but sometimes tourist guides (like the person with 1 star rating below) might be unhappy because this is not a place which charges extra from customers to pay off Tourist Guides!
