Romanian National Bank Museum

Placed inside the Old Palace of National Bank of Romania, the Romanian National Bank Museum hosts an important numismatic collection that reflects coin circulation in the Romanian territory, from the Greek citadels' coins of west-coast (V BC), to denomination of the Leu in 2005.
Besides coins from the greatest empires that ruled the lands and close foreign lands, there are exposed banknotes from the reign of Carol I to these days. Also, there is a new section covering the gold ingots, natural gold geodes and gold ore fragments.
