The Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games mark the fourth occasion Australia has provided the venue for the games following on from Sydney (1938), Perth (1962) and Brisbane (1982). This coin released in a case with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Also released in a Three Coin Set with a Selectively Gold Plated $50 Tri-colour coin and a Commonwealth Nations $5 Uncirculated Coin.
