Comments
Hand-stamped "B" in a circle or perforated "B" is a Berlin issue.
Notes with a cross star are so-called substitute notes. The banknotes sorted out during the final inspection due to poor or incomplete printing, paper cuttings, or other complaints are replaced with flawless notes so that the number of notes counted is correct again. However, these replacement notes are marked by special numbering and are of course considerably rarer than the usual productions.
