The Three Graces known as the Charites in Greek mythology, goddesses of charm, beauty and creativity.
In Roman mythology, they were known as the Gratiae (Graces).
Thus, according to the most common opinion, the Graces were the daughters of Bacchus (the god of drunkenness) and Venus (the goddess of love and seduction). Poets describe them as a ternary group, indissociable and therefore easily recognizable. Their names are Thalie (the verdant), Euphrosyne (the joy of the soul) and Aglaé (the brilliant). Believed to be Venus' companions, they were said to bestow good morals on human beings, such as equality of temperament, good grace (hence their name), eloquence, wisdom and gratitude.
