Diademed and veiled bust of Queen Victoria facing left, legend around.

Script: Latin

Lettering: VICTORIA DEI GRATIA BRITANNIAR : REG : F : D :

Translation: Victoria, by the grace of God, Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith.

Reverse

The sun rising over the sea, with two hands clasped below a banner bearing the word "FRATERNITY".
Below the makers stamp of 'LEWIS/ BIRMM' and a radiate crown with the dates of Jubilee.
At the base of the medal is a serial number, "RD 58147"
