Comments

In the preface to Arcadius in RIC X, it states "VICTORIA - AVGVSTORVM was retained from the reign of Theodosius I. Shortly before his death (January 395), the type had been slightly altered by changing the direction of Victory's head so that she now looked to the left. Coins of this revised type were struck between 395 and 403." Therefore if Victory is facing left, the coin is instead RIC X, 19.
