Rare commemorative medallion issued by the American Medallion Corporation (AMC) to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Superman, created by DC Comics designers Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Examples are seen issued in a red-felt lined black box with an accompanied unnumbered Certificate of Authenticity. AMC also issued a 2oz silver version celebrating this anniversary.
