MYB: Given for long and faithful service in the Association. Originally the medal was awarded for bravery in saving life but in 1907 the service medal was introduced for efficient completion of 15 years service.

Noonans: A total of 13 silver and 15 bronze awards of this rare life saving medal were awarded, the last silver medal being awarded in 1934.
