The spelling of the word “pharmaceutico” means this token was minted before the orthographic change in 1911. After that the spelling changed to “farmacéutico”. Also the word “registado” place this token as portuguese because in brazil it would be spelled as “registrado”. There are evidences of this powder being sold in Portugal and it's colonies around the world, in Brazil and Argentina, as it can be seen in the following ancient documents:
