Monaco's coat of arms consists of a fused coat of arms Argent and Gules. The bearers are hairy, bearded and shod friars, each carrying a raised sword, evoking the conquest of Monaco in 1297 by François Grimaldi and his companions disguised as monks. The motto is that of the Grimaldis: " Deo Juvante ", meaning "With God's help"[1]. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armoiries_de_Monaco
