J. O. Larsen's business interests in Stege (a town in Denmark, 122 km south of Copenhagen) appear to have been diverse. He may have offered, “Colonial” glass & (fajance) ceramics, coal & iron as well as "field seeds". This brings to mind a type of farm supply/hardware/general store.
There maybe other valid translations & interpretations. The former owner of the medal suggested a time frame of 1930-45 - which I could not verify - and that J.O. Larsen was a maker of “Colonial” glass & ceramics fired with coal & iron (?).
The reverse features a detailed image of the BØRSEN (N.H.& CO.) or Stock Exchange of (Denmark) Copenhagen, spelled in German as BÖRSEN.
