Comments

The 15th of Shevat is the New Year of the Trees. At this time of year, many of the fruit trees in Israel blossom and bud. During this day it is the custom to eat fruits. Some hold a special Seder with festive meal, candles, flowers and choice fruits ft the land. On Tu B'Shevat thousands of people, schoolchildren in particular, go out into nature to plant trees. This medal, abloom with beauty, symbolizes the joyous holiday. It is the eighth medal in the “Jewish Holiday” series.
