Crowned bust facing right with richly decorated mantle and wearing the chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece. Legend around a beaded inner circle (start 12h).

Translation: Ferdinand III, by the grace of God, Emperor of the Romans, forever August, King of Germany, Hungary and Bohemia, Duke of Silesia...

Reverse

Crowned double headed imperial eagle, orb between its necks, sword and scepter in its talons, crowned shield with coat of arms (Hungary and Bohemia with smaller shield of Austria and Burgundy at center) on breast, surrounded by the chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece, divides letters G-H. Legend around a beaded inner circle (start 12h), date at the end.
