Comments

At the beginning of the 20th century, the Pathéphon Salon in Berlin was a place where one could sit down, relax and listen to one's favorite record. About 2,000 different records were available, and in the basement technicians would select the chosen record, and play it. The sound was transferred to the listener via a tube with an earpiece. Payment was made with tokens.

Similar establishments were located in other major cities in Europe. Some tokens from other locations had the same design, but different lettering and sizes.
