This medal was created for the wedding of Prince Albert of Belgium, then Duke of Brabant, to Paola Ruffo di Calabria in 1959. It is presented in a black plastic case (92.15 x 88.44 x 32.50 mm) decorated with the same entwined and crowned monograms as on the reverse of the medal.
