V. Schrötter, in his work on the coins of the Great Elector, attributes the present 2/3 Thaler to the Regenstein mint, but later corrects this to Halberstadt (see Numismatische Zeitschrift Wien, Volume 12, 1919, p. 123).

There exists a rare 1647 error.

This coin was countermarked in Salzburg (see link).
