Giordano gives diameter as 27mm, Royal Mint Museum as 29mm.

 

Only 4 examples known, two in the Royal Mint Museum, 2 awarded: (1) Horace Jack Crisp, valet to King Edward VIII, and (2) Guardsman David Evans, 1st Battalion Welsh Guards, King's Orderly at York House, St. James' Palace.

 

Issued with a purple ribbon with yellow banding.
