Silver medal as part of the Finnish 2006 Onnea hääparille (Wedding) mint set.
Two Interlocked Wedding Rings found on the obverse side, represent the eternal bond and unity of the marriage.
The reverse side has two Interlocking hearts representing the union, love, and the "two hearts becoming one" theme of the marriage. The hearts are surrounded by a circular border of 12 stylized flowers or blossoms. These flowers symbolize the 12 months of the year, representing a wish for the couple's love and happiness to bloom throughout every month of their life together.
The symbols on this specific medal are chosen to represent shared life, growth, and the journey of a couple.
After 2006 the wedding sets have a similar image, with smaller and higher placed hearts and the token material has changed to cupper nickel.
