11-840Cs -New York

11-850Cs - Boston

Issued contemporaneously with the Boston Sunday American variety, which are identical except for the name of the city. Both newspapers were owned by publishing mogul and politician William Randolph Hearst.

Both New York and Boston varieties have specimens with punched holes for the purpose of being worn on a ribbon or as a watch fob.

Both New York and Boston varieties are available with gilt and silvered and most have rubbed off and will be unidentifiable
