Obverse

At the center of the coin is a sphere symbolizing the Earth, surrounded by a stylized representation of various human figures. Above it, on the right, are two hands placed one above the other, and behind them is a gear, the symbol of Rotary. At the bottom of the sphere are the inscriptions "ROTARY," "PORTUGAL," and the year of issue "2026." At the bottom right is the mintmark "CASA DA MOEDA," the national coat of arms in the center, and the designer's name "Esc. João Duarte" on the left. Around the outer ring are 12 five-pointed stars representing the European Union.

Reverse

A geographical map of Western Europe spans the outer ring and inner core on the right side of the coin. The inscription 2 EURO is superimposed over the map of Europe, with the numeral “2” located in an open field representing the eastern Atlantic Ocean. 12 stars are located on the right side of the outer ring, with six stars atop the map of Europe and six stars below it; six vertical stripes cut across the inner core of the coin, visually connecting the upper and lower star segments.
