Copper Steel token as part of the Finland Onnea rippipäivänäsi mint sets 2013 - 2014 and also the Rippirahani
mint sets 2015 - 2018.
These sets were marketed to encourage the tradition of giving money as a gift for a teenager's confirmation.
The confirmation medal was created to represent a "stepping stone" into adulthood and spiritual maturity.
The obverse side shows a circle of 12 circular arrangement of leaves or floral elements that symbolize growth and life.
There is an empty space intentionally left blank , to allow the recipient's name engraved.
The reverse side features Finland Lion Design. The central figure is a crowned lion standing on a curved sabre and brandishing a sword with its armored right foreleg. This design is a faithful reproduction of the historical emblem used on various Finnish coins for decades.
