A circular relief pattern illustrating various scenes from human existence as described in the epic poem, including constellations, wedding festivals, harvesting, judicial battles, and dancing youths, all bordered by the cosmic stream of the Ocean. In the centre is a powerful horse-drawn chariot. This central medallion serves as a jewellery silver insert within the larger structure.

A full-scale replica of Homer's legendary shield: The center features a prominent ultra-high relief engraving of a figure driving a horse-drawn chariot, representing Helios (the Sun god) racing across the sky. Surrounding the chariot are celestial symbols described by Homer, including stars and constellations (such as the Pleiades, the Hyades, and Orion) that Hephaestus forged at the shield's core. A large ring illustrates a peaceful city with a joyous wedding feast and a marketplace dispute settled by elders, contrasted with a city under siege with armies clashing, ambushes, and battles. The very edge is bounded by a stylized wave pattern representing the Great River Oceanus, which Homer described as encircling the entire outermost rim of the shield.
