Comments

Class 1b2 coins resemble those of class 1b1, but the portrait style and lettering show noticeable decline. The characteristic 2/5 hair‑curl arrangement is generally retained, though often executed with less precision. The key diagnostic feature is the letter N, which reverts to the three‑serif form last seen in class 1a2. The letter M may also occasionally appear with only three serifs. A pellet stop between the two obverse words remains the usual practice.
