Spacecraft Medals Inc., “… is a small concern in Coco, Florida, for whom the medal and three other space medals were struck in 1967.”.
Seven compositions were issued, fine silver (.999), gold on sterling, bonded silverclad, Franklinium II, Franklin Brass, Franklin Bronze and nickel silver. Mintages vary between the different “Guidebooks of the Franklin Mint Issues” but there seem to be agreement that the maximum mintage for most proofs was 16. The nickel silver “mint-run” (regular) mintages vary from 5,000 to 23,760.
