Comments

Refinería C.A.M.P.S.A. (Compañía Arrendataria del Monopolio del Petróleo, Soicedad Anónima) de Cornellà de Llobregat (Barcelona). Spanish Civil War issue.

CAMPSA operated a refinery in the municipality of Cornellà de Llobregat, very close to the port facilities of Barcelona. The intended use of these coins is unknown: whether they were for a cash register, cooperative, company store, or cafeteria. CAMPSA was a government agency, so it could not be seized; however, it is quite possible that it was militarized and the coins were intended for use among civilian support staff.
