Camp Amirabad was a major World War II U.S. military base built on the outskirts of Tehran, Iran, to serve as the headquarters for the Persian Gulf Command. Its main purpose was operating the vital "Persian Corridor" logistics hub, which successfully transported millions of tons of American Lend-Lease war supplies to allied Soviet forces fighting Nazi Germany.
