It is a counterfeit in gilding metal plated copper of Spanish 10 Escudos in gold from 1868. Differences with the base type:
- Much lower quality engraving.
- Lettering obverse
- year without dot at left,
- “G” above head, instead of above forehead.
- Reverse:
- rough and asymmetrical crown,
- “S” in “10 ES” is too large and too high, and the bottom dot is missing,
- “N” in “ESPAÑAS” is deformed and with a dot above (“Ṅ”) instead of a tilde (“Ñ”).
The main example on the page has one hole made after minting. It is worn and the word POR in obverse looks like POP.
