The two-headed eagle designed by artist I. Bilibin. The inscriptions along the rim: at the top — «100 РУБЛЕЙ 1997 г.» (100 ROUBLES 1997), at the bottom — «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA). The letters below indicate the metal sign, the fineness, the fine metal content and the mint trademark.

Yuri Dolgoruki, born in the 90th of the XIth century and died in 1157, was the founder of the city of Moscow, Duke of Suzdal and Great Duke of Kiev, the sixth son of Vladimir Monomakh. The statue was erected in 1954 by sculptors S.M. Orlov, A.P. Antropov, N.L. Stamm and by architect V.S. Andreyev.
