Abstract
Seven princesses, three in the third century (Julia Domna, Salonina, Severina) and four in the fifth (Galla Placidia, Licinia Eudoxia, Justa Grata Honoria, Euphemia), sometimes inserted the letters PF, for Pia Felix, in their numismatic titles. The circumstances and reasons for this unusual coinage are discussed.
