Pewter

Pewter is a tin-based alloy, with a dull silvery-grey appearance. It traditionally contains a high proportion of tin mixed with small amounts of copper, antimony, or lead. Due to its soft nature and low wear resistance, its use for coins is rare, with examples found in ancient Gaul and some siege coinage. Pewter is more commonly encountered in numismatics as a material for coin patterns and British medals.
