Copper-nickel-iron

Copper-nickel-iron is a a copper-based alloy containing nickel and a small proportion of iron. The addition of iron to the copper-nickel base improves hardness and wear resistance compared to standard copper-nickel. Copper-nickel-iron has a silvery-grey appearance similar to copper-nickel. It is rarely used for coinage.
