Niobium

Niobium (chemical symbol Nb) is a light grey, dense metal with excellent corrosion resistance. Like titanium, niobium can be anodized to produce a range of vivid colours through surface oxidation, which makes it attractive for modern numismatic designs. Due to its cost and the technical challenges of striking it, niobium is used exclusively for collector coins.
