Iridium

Iridium (chemical symbol Ir) is a rare, hard, silvery-white metal. It is extremely dense, very hard, and among the most corrosion-resistant metals, with a very high melting point, but it is also brittle and difficult to work. Because of its rarity and processing difficulty, iridium has a bit used in numismatics only for a very few collector coins.
