First two numbers of the serial represents the year of issue.
To mark the century anniversary of the Union of Transylvania with Romania (1st Dec 1918), a bill was voted upon to return the crown on the head of the eagle on the coat of arms (COA) of Romania. This change can be seen on the top-left of the obverse of the note.
