Red, tan, olive, blue, brown and black print; red and black serial; the front side of the banknote features insurgents on a barricade watching the PAST (Polish Telephone Joint Stock Company) buildings in flames and a group of German prisoners of War. Flag of Poland in the bottom center. Security thread presenting an image of the Fighting Poland symbol and the year 1944. The value numeral - 20, placed in the bottom right-hand corner as well as in the upper left

On the obverse of the note, at the lower left corner are two raised Xes:
On the obverse the “20" is in colour changing ink and has a brick pattern, it changes form green to blue when the note is tilted:
There is a solid security strip windowed into three parts on the obverse. The Fighting Poland symbol and 1944 can be seen repeated on it. This strip is holographic and has dynamic elements:
Under backlight the whole strip can be seen but it cannot be read:
On the reverse there are bricks on the right in colour-changing ink, here in green:
If the note is tilted, more bricks appear in gold iridescent ink:
UV activity (365nm):
The reverse has no UV activity at 365nm but the bricks on the right absorb UV (both the green bricks and iridescent gold ones):
