The 1994 Capitol Bicentennial Silver Dollar was issued to mark the 200th anniversary of the U.S. Capitol building in Washington DC. It was minted in proof version at the San Francisco Mint and uncirculated version at the Denver Mint. A maximum mintage of 500,000 was established across both versions. In addition to the individual options, a special Architectural History Edition was offered which included a proof coin and a 12-page booklet on the history of the building.
