The original jacket containing the medallion describes the composition of the medal (base metal not described) stating only medals 1-20 were issued in sterling silver - the hallmark on these medals is on the edge of the coin. The majority of medals only feature an antique silver finish but are still rare with only a mintage of 320 total.
